Mike Watts – Director
Whilst undertaking his studies at the University of Humberside in the 1990’s, like many others, Mike was interested in a variety of alternative and Indy music regularly appearing at the front of concerts by Belly, Sugar, Blur, Oasis, Lemonheads, Spiritualised but to name a few.
Although Mike is a Chartered Management Accountant by trade, he continues to be a music enthusiast and after seeing session rock band State of Fury in Exeter in 2006, Mike was so impressed by the standard of music that he created, funded and recruited for Est.1954. The idea of owning & managing a record label has always been in Mike’s creative mind. Mike and his team at Est.1954 have already successfully established a vehicle to invest in South West Based artists and projects and ‘Give Something Back’ to an industry which he has enjoyed.
Joan Allmark – Marketing & PR Executive
With 15 years P.A. & Marketing experience, Joan is an essential part of the day to day operations at Est.1954. Having previously worked with Director, Mike Watts, she established herself as the interface for her company and now applies these attributes to her role at Est.1954. Joan handles the Press & PR and administers our involvement with our artists and bands including Tour Management, Performance Contracts, Promotions, and Marketing etc.
